Chameleons use the long ball to silence the Snakes 16-8

After recording 6 outs in the top of the first inning the Chameleons started the day at the plate with back-to-back homeruns from Ellie and Victor. This marks the second game in a row Ellie has led off the game with a home run. Ellie went on to hit 2 more roundtrippers finishing with 3 on the day and a single on her way to player of the game honors.

During the contest the Chameleons showed off their defense with multiple players making great defensive stops and not allowing a single ball to get past the outfield. Victor and Gia had nice outs in the first inning. While playing first, Hudson made a nice out in the second inning. Zen had not one but two outs in the third inning. Kainan made an excellent stop while playing shortstop and made the throw to Zen playing first who caught the ball just after the runner made it to first Just missing the out.

At the plate Jace launched his second homerun of the season to left field and made 2 nice outs while playing first base in the fourth inning.

In the fifth inning while playing first Samuel made a nice out. Kainan had a home run in the fifth inning for his first of the season.

At the plate, Gia hit 2 homeruns and likely would have had a third if the pitcher didn’t stop the ball. We hope he is okay and while that is a tough lesson to learn, it is an important one for all of us, we must pay attention.

The Chameleons move to 2-0 on the season. Next game is Monday 3/28 at 5:30pm back on field 6.
