The Chameleons and Sharks squared off in a kid pitch scrimmage Wednesday night. This was the first time the teams faced live kid pitching and the Chameleons showed off their depth on the mound during the friendly contest.
Chameleon starting pitcher Victor was
impressive in his debut, striking out 4 and walking none. Ted recorded 2 strike outs and made a dazzling play on a pop up and fired the ball to Ellie at first for a double play. Gia recorded a strikeout as did Ellie on the mound. Jace launched a 3 run Homerun in the contest and came in as the Chameleon’s closer, firing in strikes that lit up the radar gun. Jace struck out Shark‘s batting star Asher to end the scrimmage.
This scrimmage was a test for both teams as both clubs have expectations of advancing deep into the AAA playoffs at the end of the season. The playoffs feature kid pitchers and games are scored on runs.
Next up, the Chameleons (4-1-1) take on the Wolverines (1-4) this Saturday at 10am back on TSC4.
